Faculty Spotlight - Professor Paul Antonellis

Professor Paul Antonellis is a Business Management Professor who has recently achieved his Doctorate in Education (EDD) in Leadership and Management. Antonellis has been involved with the Honors Program for the past 3 years, starting with offering components before teaching a specific Honors Introduction to Business course. The Honors course aids the students he says, as that class is always more engaged in the classroom. Antonellis enjoys the active classroom in comparison to non-Honors classrooms which are generally more passive. He states that the 22 students in the class function as a team and challenge him, therefore making his job interesting and fun. Molly Meehan ‘18 took the Honors section of Introduction to Business, and declares that “He is a dedicated professor who wants nothing more than to see his students succeed. Plus, Professor Antonellis makes learning about the business world much more interesting by his flipped classroom method.” The Honors Course allows his enthusiasm for business to connect with the students dedication to learning.
Antonellis is also involved with the program outside of class, attending different Honors Program and Honors Student Council events. When asked about his favorite event to attend, he stated that is was the Opening Reception, as it includes both new and old students. Former student Casey Ouillete ‘18 spoke about her experience with Antonellis, saying, “Professor Antonellis is my favorite professor so far. He is very approachable and always willing to help me succeed.” It is the care for students both inside and outside the classroom that makes Antonellis such a great professor.
